For centuries, universities looked anything but black. Now, 48% of college students in Brazil are black. But one symbol still suggest they don't belong: the graduation cap, never made for black hairstyles. Vult, the leading shampoo for black hair in Brazil, decided to change that. Together with the black designers duo, Dendezeiro, we created the first collection of grad caps made for black hairstyles. We developed 4 inclusive caps, all available globally through open source.

“Our deep connection with real consumers allows us to build a project like this, which contributes to the rectification of a historical debt, redefines an iconic moment and generates reflection and legacy for society.” Marcela de Masi, Executive Director of Branding and Communication Grupo Boticário
“Now the students who graduate at our university will have a cap that respect their identity.” José Vicente, Rector Universidade Zumbi Dos Palmares
